  1. That the Club be known as the NORTHERN AREA NETHERLAND DWARF RABBIT CLUB and shall be affiliated to the National Netherland Dwarf Rabbit Club. The area of the Club shall be all those counties North of the Southern boundaries of Lancashire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and North Humberside and shall include the border towns and the Isle of Man, excluding Cleveland, Co. Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland postal addresses. Only members residing in the above areas are entitled to vote and hold office.
  2. The object of the Club shall be to promote the breeding of Netherland Dwarf Rabbits, the suppression of fraud and dishonourable conduct therein and the advancement and protection of the interests of the Netherland Dwarf breeders and exhibitors.
  3. The Club shall consist of members who shall pay the Annual Subscription set by the Executive Committee in advance on the first day of January of each year. Any member who may not have paid his or her subscription by the 31st March, shall be informed of such omission. If, after 14 days have passed following such notification, the subs remain unpaid, he or she shall cease to be a Member and his or her name shall be removed from the list of Members. New members joining after 1st November shall be a member for the whole of the following year for payment of the subscription.
  4. Any person desirous of becoming a Member shall forward to the Secretary the Subscription laid down. The Secretary shall then forward a receipt for same, accompanied by a copy of the Club's Rules, which must be considered as binding. Persons who show as a Partnership must both be full members.
  5. The Annual General Meeting of Members shall be held not later than the 31st December each year, the exact date and venue to be decided by the Committee. A Special General Meeting of members may be called by the committee or a requisition signed by 20 paid up members, but at least one month's notice shall be given in the "Fur & Feather", stating the business of the meeting.
  6. The management of the Club shall be vested in the hand of the President, two Vice Presidents, Chairman, Hon. Secretary/Treasurer, and a committee of seven, with the power to co-opt; five of whom shall form a quorum.
  7. The Officers, Committee, Judges for Club Shows and Auditors shall be elected by ballot and nominations for these officers to be made to the Secretary, not later than the 1st August, and the names of all bona fide Members nominated shall be printed in the Ballot Paper. Judges of the National Club Panel to be recognised, and all existing officials and judges will automatically be included in the Ballot unless the Secretary is notified to the contrary.
  8. The number of Club Judges shall be 20, the top 2 not elected to the National Panel, will automatically go forward to the National Panel. Judges who have officiated at any Club Show will not be eligible to judge any Northern Dwarf Rabbit Club Show the following year. No Judge shall officiate at more than one Club Show in any one year. Judges for the Support Shows may be chosen by the Committee, non-area judges being eligible, provided that they are on the National Panel.
  9. No new Members can take Cups or Club Specials until a period of 31 days has elapsed from the date of his or her joining the Club.
  10. All trophies owned by the Club shall be perpetual.
  11. Any member or number of members desiring any alterations to these Rules, shall give notice of such proposed alterations or additions signed by not less than 12 fully paid up members, at least 1 month before the date of the AGM. No such AGM resolution shall be effective unless approved by a simple majority of those voting. Any AGM resolution shall be printed on the ballot paper issued to all members. Any rule changes which are passed by 60% of those voting on the ballot shall come into effect from the 1st of January the following year.
  12. There will be an Annual Points Competition consisting of three classes being held at each of the four Stock Shows � Adult, Under 5 months, and Junior AA. The judges, who must be on the Northern or National Dwarf Panel, will be requested to place the best seven exhibits in each class and these will be awarded 9 points for 1st place down to 3 points for 7th place, and 2 points for unplaced rabbits. Only the highest placed rabbit of each exhibitor, in each class, being allowed to receive points, i.e., if the same exhibitor gets 1st, 2nd and reserve, only the 1st gets the points. The member gaining the most points in the period terminating at the ASS will be awarded, and will hold for the following year, the WEE GEORDIE TROPHY for the adult competition, similar trophies will be offered for the young and junior competitions, also prize money of �3, � 2 , and � 1 pound will be offered to the first three in each competition at the end of the year. Any member elected to judge a points class will be awarded 4 points, as will any member barred from showing due to their relationship with the judge.
  13. Upon application by its owner and payment of the appropriate Registration Fee, an exhibit which has won five BRC Challenge Certificates under at least three different National or Northern Dwarf Club Judges, which may include National Certificates of Merit issued at National Shows after 1st January 1989, shall be awarded a Club Championship. No more than two Certificates won at shows catering solely for Young Stock may be counted towards each Championship.
  14. A Grand Champion may be registered on the winning of 5 Challenge Certificates at National or Area Club Stock Shows. To qualify as a Supreme Champion the exhibit must have won 5 CCs at NANDRC Stock Shows. Both these registrations are free.
  15. To be eligible for election to the Judging Panel, a person must have been a member of the Club for at least TWO years.
  16. No support shall be given to shows held on the same day as a Stock Show, unless it be held at the same venue.
